CARING Always Warms the Heart: Great Fuel for Awesome Aging

At the homeless shelter last evening……He looked peaked and weak as he poured two packets of Emergen-C into his cup of water. Then he took a cough lozenge. I told him I could tell he didn’t feel well and hoped he would recover quickly. He looked at me with eyes that were soulful and longing. He was probably around 20 years of age. I could feel that his life has not been an easy one. In that brief glance I gave a heartfelt gentle smile with my wish for his health. Something shifted in his eyes when I did that. I hope he felt caring and seen. I took some hygiene products I was able to get donated to the homeless shelter last night plus some health packets for anyone not feeling well that I laid out on a table in-between floor bed spaces in the central part of the hall. Numerous homeless folks called out to me “Xmas Fairy” and many smiles were exchanged. My heart always feels good when I help…..anyone, anywhere….without judgment. #earthisheaven@67 #itisuptometomakethechoice
