Ivan Mestrovic’ the world renowned sculptor, wrote this beautiful expression now imprinted on an environmental bag my friend, Roni, purchased for me at one of his galleries last month in Croatia. She was touring there and specifically went to visit his magnificent galleries for me to bring back a report.
In 1959 I begged my parents to go meet him because he had to flee Croatia and settled on the east coast. We could not afford it so I had to settle reading about him in the World Book of Encyclopedias. His sculptures are located in many countries around the world.
An amazing feeling spread through me as I read the quote on the bag. It was as though I could feel his presence. Since I could not meet him in person, one day i will go sit in his home gallery. One day…..in my aging process and it will be another experience to bring awesome into my aging. #earthisheaven@67
