Teaching children at an International School in Peru some years ago the difference between tense dogs and relaxed, calm dogs. We made the sounds, felt it in our bodies, took deep belly button breaths to switch from tense to calm and felt successful with inner world skills and self-control. It is a universal experience that goes beyond culture, religion, race, socio-economic status and what kind of toothpaste one uses. Kids from any culture like learning these skills when they have fun!
