She never stopped smiling…..the whole time she sat in my lap, worked the footpiece of the sewing machine and, with my help, kept that selvage edge turned under.
Immediately, after the last stitch, that little 4 yr. old granddaughter wanted to ‘try it on’… even pretending to sleep, wrapped up in her first sewing project….a Tinkerbell fleece blanket.
Cross generational quality interaction is priceless, gives an awesome aging experience to both ends of the aging spectrum, and provides a fulfilling, satisfying feeling that cannot really be described in linear terms.
